Locals and visitor alike can discover the beauty of weaving harakeke/flax using traditional Māori techniques at the #Kahu Collective. Discover beautiful artwork and be inspired by nature and learn how to make your own at their regular classes.

New Brighton also has its very own Bonsai Artist at Shiro Bonsai where you can learn about bonsai with regular workshops throughout the year. They have a beautiful display of bonsai in their gallery - enjoy a coffee at Kusamono Cafe while you are there.

Art lovers will find New Brighton filled with creativity. Colorful murals and iconic sculptures reflect the town's diversity, turning the streets into an outdoor gallery. Visit the Brighton Art Gallery to view the work of many local artists or if pottery is your thing you will find some beautiful work for sale at Pottery Capital or you can make your own at one of their regular workshops.
