From Brighton Beginnings to Community-Wide Care: Meet Pier Law

Although we may have expanded to open offices in both Northwood and Kaiapoi, our story

began right here in New Brighton. Pier Law was born on Christchurch’s east side nearly 30

years ago, and ever since, we’ve proudly stayed rooted in this community.

Back then, we were just a small local firm with a big focus: helping everyday people navigate

life’s big (and sometimes stressful) moments with legal advice that’s easy to understand. No

stuffy jargon, no suits and ties (unless we really have to), just friendly, down-to-earth lawyers

who genuinely care.

Over the years, we’ve grown with our clients and our community. What began in New

Brighton has now become a wider network of support for people across Christchurch and

beyond — but our heart is still right here on the coast. Many of our team live locally, and

we’re passionate about being involved in the community that helped shape us.
